By addressing the root causes of health concerns and treating the whole person, Salus Natural Medicine aims to restore vitality and promote optimal well-being. With a blend of telehealth and in-person services, care is designed to be accessible and tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Dr. Jenny V. Root, ND, is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in California and the founder of Salus Natural Medicine. She specializes in Environmental, Endocrine, and Autoimmune medicine, treating conditions such as fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, diabetes, PCOS, perimenopause, menopause, thyroid disorders, MS, MCAS, POTS, mold toxicity, CIRS, and heavy metal toxicity. Dr. Root’s integrative approach combines natural therapies with evidence-based medical interventions to address underlying imbalances and promote holistic healing.
With personal experience and professional expertise in chronic and complex health conditions, Dr. Root approaches her patients with empathy and care. She evaluates the whole person, considering factors such as stress, lifestyle, genetic predispositions, infections, and medical history. Her treatment plans emphasize sustainable lifestyle changes, nutritional support, herbal remedies, homeopathics, IV therapy, and targeted medical solutions to support long-term healing.
Dr. Root earned her Naturopathic Doctorate from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA, and holds advanced certifications in Mold Toxicity, Functional Nutrition and Medicine, and Advanced GI training. Prior to medical school, she worked as a supplement adviser for a functional medicine practice in New York City. Her background in nutrition and fitness complements her naturopathic expertise, allowing her to guide patients in achieving their health goals effectively.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Root enjoys reading, hiking, running, and exploring the outdoors. She is an active member of professional organizations, including the National Association of Environmental Medicine (NAEM), the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), the California Naturopathic Doctors Association (CNDA), the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM), and the Walnut Chamber of Commerce.
